Synopsis: Will, a self-centred and irresponsible Londoner in his thirties who lives off the substantial royalties left to him from a successful Christmas song composed by his father, begins attending a support group for single parents as a way to meet women. As a result of one of his liaisons he meets Marcus, a 12-year-old boy with problems at school. Gradually, Will and Marcus become close friends with Marcus' influence leading Will to mature as he seeks out a relationship with illustrator Rachel.
